Founded in Israel
David Assia and Yaki Dunietz incorporate the company as Mashov Software Export (1983) Ltd. and release MSE — one of the first platforms that let businesses build and deploy applications without writing everything from scratch.
1991
Magic Software Enterprises
The company is renamed Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. and goes public. It still trades today on NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker MGIC.
1990s–2010s
From app platform to integration backbone
Magic evolves its low-code roots into a full integration and application platform — Magic xpi and Magic xpa — and forges strategic alliances with IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and SAP.

Shareholders approve the Matrix merger
Magic Software Enterprises and Matrix IT shareholders vote to combine the two companies — pairing Magic's integration platforms with Matrix's enterprise IT services scale.

Magic + Matrix complete the merger
The merger closes on February 24, 2026, creating one of the top-10 publicly listed IT services firms across the U.S. and Europe — 15,000+ professionals delivering end-to-end enterprise technology.
Apr 2026
Acquires MartinCSI
Magic Software Americas and Axiom complete the acquisition of MartinCSI, bringing 30+ years of industrial automation, controls engineering, machine vision, and robotics in-house — from the shop floor to the top floor.
